Submitting Prescriptions
The easiest way to submit prescriptions is through our Prescription Order button below.
We also accept:

- Written prescriptions on physician’s prescription pads
⚠️ We do not accept prescriptions via phone or email.

Provider Responsibilities
When you submit a prescription, our Medicinary staff will file it in our system.
Please instruct your patients to call us directly to fill their prescription and arrange pick-up or shipping.

- If we miss their call, patients should leave a voicemail with their name, date of birth, and provider’s name.
- Our staff will return the call to confirm details, collect payment, and complete the order.
Important Policy Updates
- Prescriptions older than one year will not be filled, regardless of remaining refills.
- Thank you for helping us maintain safe and accurate patient care.
Accepted Prescribers
We verify the license of every provider through their licensing board.
We accept prescriptions from:
- Naturopathic doctors (ND)
- Medical doctors (MD)
- Dentists (DDS)
- Nurse Practitioners (NP)
- Osteopathic doctors (DO)
- Physician assistants (PA)
- Podiatrists (DPM)
We accept select prescriptions from:
- Acupuncturists (LAc) – Chinese herbal prescriptions
- Licensed midwives (LM, CNM) – Herbs, tinctures & homeopathic remedies for midwifery
- Homeopaths (RSHom (NA)) certified by the North American Society of Homeopaths (NASH) – Homeopathic remedies only
- Veterinarians (DVM) – Prescriptions for animals
- Chiropractor (DC) – Finished products only
We do not accept prescriptions from:
- Registered nurses (RN)
- Massage therapists (LMT)
Prescription Requirements
All prescription forms must be legible and include:
- Patient’s name
- Patient’s date of birth
- Date prescribed
- Item to be prescribed
- Formula, if applicable, with precise measurements
- Sig: Clear directions for dosage and any other pertinent information
- Number of refills
- Provider’s name, both printed and signed.
Refill Policy
- Prescription products (finished or compounded):
- Cannot be refilled without provider authorization.
- Patients will be advised to contact their provider directly if out of refills.
- Medicinary staff do not contact providers for refills.
- Over-the-counter products:
- Can be sold without a prescription.
- Our staff may recommend patients check with their provider before continuing use.
What Requires a Prescription?
Prescriptions are required for:
- Compounded products (anything mixed, measured, weighed, or counted)
- Combination tinctures, teas, bulk capsules, essential oils, etc.
- Specific products, including:
- Low-dose botanical tinctures and teas
- Homeopathic remedies above 200C (and some at any potency)
- Hormonal products (DHEA, Pregnenolone, Progesterone)
- Vitamin A (emulsion or suppositories)
- Select products for specific brands, including:
- Standard Process
- Restorative Formulations
- Classical Pearls
Alumni/Provider Discounts
We offer a 10% discount to NUNM and OCOM alumni for most products in the Medicinary.
