Vaccines can prevent outbreaks of disease and save lives. When a high proportion of a community is immunized against an infectious disease, the risk of infection for susceptible individuals within that community is reduced. They are protected against that disease because there is little opportunity for an outbreak.
Immunizations are required by law for children who attend public and private schools, preschools, childcare facilities and Head Start programs in Oregon. Some employers or professions require them as well. Our staff can help you determine which immunizations you or your child may need.
