Prescriptions may be written for anything the medicinary carries.

What information do I need to include on a prescription?

The following information must be on all ND and CCM prescription forms and must be legible.

Date Item prescribed
Patient’s name Dosage and strength information
Patient’s date of birth Directions (Sig:)
Provider’s name (both printed and signed) Refills

What happens if my patient is out of refills?

  • If a product is prescription only (finished or compounded) and the patient runs out of refills, the product cannot be refilled without authorization from a provider. The NUNM Medicinary staff will not contact providers to request refills. Our staff will let patients know that they need to contact their provider to request refills and have the provider contact us to authorize the refill(s).
  • If the product prescribed is an over–the–counter product (not requiring a prescription), the product can be sold but not as a prescription. Our staff members will inform the patient that they are officially out of refills but because the product is over–the–counter they will be able to purchase it. Our staff will suggest that the patient contact their provider to check if they should still be taking the product.

Do you offer a provider discount?

We offer a 15% discount on most products in the Medicinary. We also offer a quantity discount (for six or more of the same item) and free shipping for purchases over $300.
